Component reusability boosts function and reduces cost
Measuring fixtures, checking gages, gages etc. are built using Alufix, a modular fixturing from Witte America.

Apart from being highly accurate the system excels through its almost unlimited reusability of standard elements.
Fixtures are built on the spot very fast. At a later date, if t he initial fixture is not longer needed, the highly accurate high-tensile aluminium components are repeatedly available for building new fixtures.
Should a workpiece design change require a different Alufix part range than is currently in use, for instance a different system size or varying bar lengths, reusability is now guaranteed through an additional service.
With their retooling concept workpiece contact points are modified or assembled in a completely different design.
Standard material used in the original configuration is exchanged acc. to latest requirements.

Within a short amount of time the measuring fixtures in Alufix Classic for car door interiors were reconfigured for a new model and their function extended.
The retooled fixture now has a double function as measuring fixture and gage in one.
