Principal and technical details
- Chilling of ICEVICE-chuck to minus 10°C (temperature of coolant in unit -15°C +/- 2 °C, to max -30°C). Electronic control of temperature through sensors in chuck individually adjustable on unit
- Supply to two independent freeze chucks possible using ICEVICE unit
- Repeatable and accurate machining processes with even temperature of -10 +/-0,5°C
- Achievable accuracy generally in range of +/- 3 µ
- Time required to freeze parts directly to freeze chuck 90 to 240 seconds depending on size and volume
- Thaw process also between 90 and 240 seconds (supported by integrated heating elements in ICEVICE chuck
- Shorten clamping cycle even further using custom built adapter plates and ICEVICE chucks equipped with vacuum suction connection (on request)
